Leveraging Financial Strategies for Sustainable Growth in E-Commerce: A Case Study of Agriconnect

Abstract

This study explores the financial management strategies of a Georgian e-commerce platform, AgriConnect, which connects rural farmers with urban consumers. Through a mixed-methods approach, the research identifies key challenges and opportunities in managing working capital within a competitive e-commerce landscape, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has drastically altered consumer behavior and supply chains worldwide. The findings emphasize the importance of strategic financial planning, particularly in inventory management and long-term financing, to achieve sustainable growth in emerging markets.
